The Springville Volunteer Fire Company originated in 1944. A few local business men saw a need for fire protection and a fire company was established. Today, there are approximately 30 active members, that respond to calls, with a very supportive Ladies Auxiliary always willing to help at functions and events. We are not only a fire service, we also provide a medical service (QRS), staffed with EMTs to assist ambulance crews on medical incidents. On average, we run 150 to 200 calls per year, both fire and EMS. We boast a very successful monthly Breakfast Brunch. Thank you for checking out our site. Enjoy your visit. |
![]() In March of 2009, we took delivery of this new 2009 Ford Mini Rescue to serve as our new QRS vehicle. We have also equipped this vehicle to respond to Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA's). This new addition was built by MARCO Equipment Sales out of Honey Brook Pa. The body from the truck came from a wrecked 2003 Ford. It was refurbed and remounted by MARCO onto a new 2009 cab and chassis. On board, there is a Command Light Tower, a Compressed Air Foam system (CAF's), and a Combo Hurst Rescue Tool to assist with patient extrication operations. Also on board, there is a wide selection of cribbing, along with other rescue hand tools, as well as a chain saw. The truck is fully equipped with all necessary medical supplies for our QRS team. Since the truck has been in service, it has seen numerous calls and has proved to be an asset to our fleet. Thank you MARCO! |
| PLEASE HELP US, HELP YOU!! Recently, the Susq. Cty. 911 Center has been working on a system to give all of Susq. Cty. residents a new address. The purpose of this system is to help emergency services locate you better by using a street address rather than box numbers. For more information, please visit www.susq911.com Here you can find out what you need to do when you receive a new address. One of the most important steps you need to do is post your new address number where it is visible from the road. Below, are suggestions to help you with this.
"Where do I have to post the numbers? On my house? Mailbox?" We have signs available to you for $15 if you need or prefer to use them. Click on the link below, print out the form and mail it back to us to purchase a sign from SVFC. Our signs are 6" X 18", blue reclective panels with white reflective numbers. They can be mounted vertically or horizontally. |
